Are You In Focus?
By: Elder David Hunter

Focus:
In its basic form, this element all depends on two principles; Vision and Clarity. Vision refers to sight and Clarity refers to your understanding and comprehension of what is being seen. In today’s world, having focus in your life is completely necessary. As we try to navigate our way through road blocks and detours our focus determines how well we fair during the travel. Our lives are filled with over booked schedules, meetings and overall busyness. And when we get out of focus, that’s when our spiritual lives become deflated and starved for nourishment.

Proverbs 29:18 explains it like this. Where there is no vision, the people perish… When you are out of focus or have no vision, you are setting yourself up for defeat. The scripture wants you to see the value and importance of having a clear plan, which includes our heavenly Father. Develop a course of action for your life that centers on staying with in the will of God. Habakkuk 2:2-3 says, Write the vision and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. What’s your plan? The gauntlet has been thrown down! Where do you stand? Do you have a plan that will lead you and your family to that place where God is calling you? God has a specific plan for your life and the lives of your family members (Jer. 1:5, John 10:10). True success comes when you have the vision, or plan, from God in your life. We can no longer afford to men that either won’t lead or men that are unable to lead because we have no plan and no vision.

Can the blind lead the blind? No! Today make the choice to get back into focus. Make today the day that you make a clear decision to walk in the will of God. Once we become focused on what God is planning for us it becomes that much easier to implement the plan. And then we will become the MEN that we are destined to become. Realize that God loves you, no matter what. He sees you as the finished product, even when you can’t. Allow him to keep you in focus and on the correct path to victory. Staying in focus depends on you! Spend time with your heavenly Father, pray, communicate, and spend time with Him. It’s as simple as that, less “Me time”, and more “WE time,” will keep you in focus.
