Now That The Fast Is Over...

Ron Luce of Teen Mania Ministries writes; “Why do we fast? Fasting sharpens you. It humbles you. It gets you crying out to God. When you are denying your body of things it craves every day in order to get direction from God, scriptures are illuminated to you like never before. The Holy Spirit will give you the specific answer for the problem that seems impossible to solve. You separate yourself from the world and say, "Lord, I don't want the bread of this world. I want the bread that comes from heaven.” We do it to drawer closer to the lord and to hear from him in regards to our daily lives.
Did you get the answers to the questions you asked God? Your answer may be yes or no. Just because you put your best foot forward does not mean you have necessary received your answers. And if you haven’t it does not mean you did something wrong or that the Lord did no hear you. If you haven’t received your answer continue to pray. You may not need to continue fasting but continue to spend time with the Lord. Reading your Bible and praying in your Prayer Language. You fasted for a reason; get all the benefits that these past 31 days have afforded you. Don’t stop praying; don’t stop believing that you will get your breakthrough. When you fast you will get something out of it, whether it was your intended result or not, “Fasting is not just going hungry. Some people go through the motions of fasting …"Well, I just fasted for three days." If your goal was not to eat, then that's what you did.” Congratulations you didn’t eat and that’s what you got out of it, an empty stomach. But if you fasted and prayed to hear from the Lord and get answers to the secret petitions of your heart – Congratulations you did it!
God sees that you chose to spend the first 31 days of the year fasting and praying. He sees the desires of your heart. He sees your true motivation for fasting. Now it’s time to believe it, receive it and know that God will bring to pass all that he has promised during this fast.
